- What is your privacy policy?+
-
We are nothing without you, our valued customers, and vow to treat any personal information you disclose on our site with the utmost care and respect. We will never ever rent or sell your personal information to anyone.
- Who else has access to my information?+
-
Your credit card data is kept under lock and key. We do not store any credit card data ourselves; all we do is capture the information in order to initiate payments, which are then processed through Stripe, a payment processing company that meets the most stringent requirements for secure service providers.
When you opt to store your credit card information in your Nutbox account for future purchases, that data is guarded by Rebillia using state-of-the-art encryption methods that meet Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) industry standards. Rest assured that this is the same certified service provider relied upon by Bank of America, Visa, MasterCard, and Amex.
- Do you offer bulk discounts?+
-
We firmly believe that more is better, so if you buy 12 or more of the same item in the same package weight, you will automatically receive a 5% discount during checkout.
- Will I be able to cancel an order?+
-
Once you’ve successfully placed an order, you cannot cancel it through the website. If you somehow placed the order by accident (it can happen!) or if there is any other reason for cancellation, please contact us immediately at support@nutbox.com. As long as your order hasn’t left our warehouse, we will do our very best to accommodate your request. However, if the train has left the station, so to speak, all hope is not lost. Scroll down to see our Returns policy for further instructions.
- How can I pay for my order?+
-
Quite honestly, we like getting paid for our products, so we’ve made it as easy as possible for you to do so. We accept most major credit cards as well as PayPal, which you can select to use during checkout. If you do opt to pay with PayPal, you will be prompted to log into your PayPal account in order to authorize the payment, just like anytime you use PayPal.
- How do you calculate sales tax?+
-
Ah, the wonders of tax law. We have no control over sales taxes, which are set by the individual states. For us to be in compliance, we must apply the sales tax that has been enacted by the state in which the designated ship-to address exists.
- Will I be able to see my order history?+
-
Yes and no. If are signed into your account when you place your order, you’ll be able to view prior orders by clicking on the Orders tab, but not if you place an order as a “guest” That’s why you will always be prompted to register for an account or to log into an existing one during checkout, so you can be sure to do one or the other if you desire to have a record of the order. Besides, with an account, you’ll find it that much easier to order from us again.
- What if I want to reorder a product?+
-
So long as you were logged in when you purchased a product before, reordering is simple to do: Just click on the Orders tab to see your order history, then click on an order to see the details. Once you see the specific product you would like to reorder, click on that and it will be automatically be added to your cart.
- Do you ship everywhere?+
-
We are thrilled to be able to ship our products to all 48 contiguous states plus Washington D.C. Alas, we do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii, or any off-shore U.S. territories and possession, nor do we ship internationally.
- What are your shipping policies?+
-
Unless you qualify for free shipping or select expedited shipment, all products ship via ground delivery and will take up to 7 business days to arrive depending on the destination. We offer free shipping on all orders of $59 or more (excluding taxes) via UPS Surepost, a combined service offered by both UPS and USPS. Unlike with all other shipping methods, we are unable to provide estimated delivery times for UPS Surepost during checkout, but you can usually expect delivery within 7 business days depending on the destination. Shipping rates will vary for orders below $59 (excluding taxes) and also those for which you selected expedited shipping.
- Can I ship to APO/FPO addresses?+
-
Absolutely! We are super proud to ship to military bases. Please do allow for additional shipping time, as we often have to rely on multiple carriers.
- When will my order arrive?+
-
You can see estimated delivery dates for your shipment option during checkout. After that, if you’re wondering when your package of perfection will arrive, you can always log into your account and open the Orders tab.
Please note that estimated delivery dates are only estimates, which are provided to us by our carriers. Life happens, however, and even the best estimates will not account for extreme weather or other unforeseen disruptions in service.
- What is your return policy?+
-
We strive every day and in every way to send out the best quality products, with freshness, flavor, and fulfillment always on the forefront of our minds. That said, due to health and safety concerns, we are unable to accept returns of foodstuffs barring any damage or spoilage.
- What if I receive a product that is damaged or spoiled? +
-
In the unlikely event you receive a product that is damaged, spoiled, or somehow doesn’t meet your expectations, please contact us at support@nutbox.com within 14 days of delivery, preferably as soon as possible. Please include your order number, name of affected product(s), the “best-by” date of the product(s), and the reason for your concern so that we can take action and make amends.
- What do I need to know about allergens in your products?+
-
We process and package our products in the same facility as peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, soy, and milk products.
- What is California Proposition 65?+
-
Nearly all foods contain trace amounts of cadmium, lead, and other naturally occurring minerals, since they are taken up from the earth by plants and such. That goes for the fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and fish, and whole grains we eat every day. In 1986, California residents passed the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, a.k.a. Prop 65, a right-to-know statute that requires products sold in that state to bear a special warning of potential exposure to any of 800 listed naturally occurring substances.
The levels specified by California are far more stringent than the levels deemed safe by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the regulatory agency that monitors products to ensure their safety, as well as the other 49 states. In other words, the FDA has determined that there is no health risk from taking in tiny traces of these naturally occurring minerals in food. All Nutbox products pass the FDA safety test.
All the same, because even the most carefully sourced Nutbox products contain trace amounts of cadmium, lead, and other Prop 65 substances, we are required to provide warnings to California residents. These substances are not added by any of our farmers or other providers or by us. We adhere to stringent food safety practices every step along the supply chain. (One final note: According to the extreme Prop 65 standards, even fresh green beans have more than 50 times the allowable limit for lead, while fresh carrots far exceed acceptable levels of arsenic. That should provide you with some perspective.)
